Coronavirus: FC Metz player in quarantine

We don't know his name. A Metz football player, in contact with a person affected by the new coronavirus, has been placed in quarantine, the Ligue 1 club in Lorraine announced on Tuesday.

"A player from FC Metz, showing no symptoms at the moment, was in close contact with a person diagnosed today as suffering from the Coronavirus Covid-19 virus," said the Moselle club in a press release.

"This player was immediately placed in home confinement," said the 15th Ligue 1 team.

All training behind closed doors

"The rest of the workforce continues to train but the evolution of the situation will be followed with attention and vigilance by the doctor of the club, in close collaboration with the health authorities", adds the garnet club which travels to Toulouse on Saturday for the 29th day of the championship.
