The former president of OM (from 2005 to 2009) died on Tuesday in Senegal, after being infected with the coronavirus, AFP announced Tuesday evening. Pape Diouf, 68, was to be repatriated overnight to France, after being contaminated by Civid-19 at his home in Senegal. Journalist in the 1980s, he was then a renowned player agent, taking care of the interests of Marcel Desailly, Basile Boli, William Gallas, Samir Nasir or Didier Drogba, among others. Formally appointed president of OM in 2005, he was thanked by Robert Louis-Dreyfus in 2009. Since then, Pape Diouf has given lectures. He had left Marseille to return to live in Dakar in 2018.
