The entire life in sports clubs is currently dormant because of the corona pandemic. Instead of sticking together in this difficult time, TSV West is torn apart in a power struggle.
Fürstenfeldbruck - Shortly before Christmas, half of the board resigned at TSV West. At the same time, President Anton Maletz announced an extraordinary general meeting with new elections in February. He didn't want to run anymore.
At the end of January there was a U-turn. Maletz announced that he would not endanger the construction of the new sports center with his resignation and would continue with the remaining board members until the regular new elections next year. But the club continued to rumble after Maletz put the chair in front of some members. An opposition of 35 club members formed, which, by means of a signature campaign, asked the West President to convene an extraordinary general meeting.
With a public announcement on the door of the club hut on Cerveteristrasse, Maletz informed the members on March 9 that he would no longer call an extraordinary meeting. Reason: The regular annual meeting is imminent.
Opposition continues for extraordinary assembly
The internal opposition continues to advocate an extraordinary meeting because the board members still in office are not quorate. They are also of the opinion that the board has made personnel decisions that are not supported by the members.
They also consider decisions in youth work to be intolerable. In general, they miss any transparency towards the members in the decisions of the board. Last but not least, they accuse the board of directors of unreasonable press releases about what is going on in the association.
Annual General Meeting postponed
The announcement of the incumbent president at the club hut was supplemented in the course of the corona crisis. For "technical reasons", it is now said, the date of the annual general meeting has been postponed from April 24th to May 8th. There should also be a vote on new elections.
