The issue of wage cuts in Hapoel Haifa is nearing completion. Owners Yoav Katz and the players have reached a basic conclusion that the players will cut 50 percent of their salary by the end of the season. In such a situation, the players will not leave the USSR and continue to receive their salaries from the club.
At this stage, there are still small details in the agreement that have disagreements, but it is estimated that they too will be resolved by Passover eve. As first published on the Israel Today website, two days ago, Katz was offered a proposal that was defined as Maccabi Netanya's outline, with the intention of maintaining a similar agreement to that of Eyal Segal's players, who cut half their wages by the end of the season.
When the offer was accepted by the players' wetsap group, most of them expressed their agreement to sign it. Three of them asked for 48 opinions to think about, but in the end everyone seemed to agree to the cut since the second choice was to leave the US.
