"I followed his work in Peißenberg from a distance and I think he made a good team out of a young group," says Resch about the new coach, who had to take his hat off to the "ice hackers" in January. At this point, the Peißenbergers were in first place in the intermediate round "Descent". However, numerous players and the department management were not satisfied with Höfler's management style.

"He is an old school trainer with clear announcements and certain principles," says Resch about the new "Mammuts" coach, who is very confident of his new team. "If the team stays together for the most part, they have great potential," says Höfler about the Schongauer, against whom the Peißenberg team lost twice in the past season. "Unfortunately, they didn't use the potential very often, even though they were absolutely competitive," says Höfler about the EAS players. Together with Resch, he will push ahead with team planning in the next few weeks.
"Reinforcements are always an issue," explains Höfler, who also has plans for summer training in his pocket. "We want to train three times a week - only when, that's the question", Höfler sees many question marks given the unresolved situation due to the corona pandemic.
EA Schongau: anticipation of the enlarged Bayernliga
Regardless, he is looking forward to the enlarged Bayernliga. "18 teams in the league will be very interesting," says the new EAS coach. "Hopefully we will be different in the new league," Resch hopes for a more successful year than last. "We will also get a decent team together," the team manager from Schongau is confident. In any case, when it comes to "trainers", he is convinced that he made the right choice. "I am very happy and I also have a good feeling that Rainer has agreed to join us," said Resch.
