Liverpool (AP) - Liverpool success coach Jürgen Klopp is said to have used the corona break for a call to the father of French soccer world champion Kylian Mbappé. The French website "le10sport" reports.
Klopp has long been considered a big fan of the young star, who due to his speed would fit perfectly into the system of the English Champions League winner and would be the ideal replacement if Sadio Mané left.
Mbappé still has a contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2022. The striker would under no circumstances be under 200 million euros - despite falling prices in the wake of the Corona crisis. With the 21-year-old, PSG wants to extend and apparently raise the annual salary to a level of superstar Neymar (an estimated 30 million euros). Mbappé, who is being advised by his father, has so far refused to negotiate contracts.
Spanish striker Real Madrid, for whom Mbappé is said to have raved in his youth, is already considered the favorite to sign the striker. The top club of the royal family also has good contacts with those responsible in Paris.
