The best league in the world longs to return to normal. According to reports in the United States, starting this Friday (1.5), some states will allow the teams facilities to be opened so that players can keep fit individually. It is important to note that it is not yet group training but only personal training in the training halls.
It should be noted that not all halls will be able to return to practice and that the permit to practice will only be valid for states where traffic restrictions allow, such as Georgia. The US has already crossed the threshold of 50,000 dead from the Corona virus, but as with all over the world, there is pressure to return to a partial routine, but at the same time it is not yet on the horizon today that all teams can return to group training routines.
In countries where traffic restrictions will not allow for personal training, the world's top league leaders have promised to try to find possible alternatives and even consider the possibility of allowing each player to train in rival teams' complexes to maintain uniformity and fitness.
Commissioner Adam Silver had a conversation last week with the team managers, where the possibility was raised that players could fly to Atlanta to work out in gyms due to traffic restrictions that opened in the state. "If our players have the opportunity to fly and train in Atlanta, then it makes no sense that they will not be able to train anyone in their hall," noted General Manager of one of the teams.
Regarding a general return to the parquet and resumption of games, Silver and the team owners still do not see the light at the end of the tunnel, and at this stage they are unable to plan a schedule for the resumption of the 2019/20 season.
