Unterhaching - Amid the Corona crisis, SpVgg Unterhaching is taking a slightly different route. President Manfred Schwabl does not want to apply for short-time work because he sees other economic and social sectors as more affected and more important than football. Instead, all employees show solidarity by waiving their wages (we reported). The team and club had even previously made a hefty 10,000 euro donation that the community could distribute to four local clubs or institutions. The Hachingen do not want to end the season of the 3rd division, even though they would benefit enormously as third in the table. And finally, they didn't complain when the main sponsor decided to quit at the end of the season. In Unterhaching, the courage of going public in 2019 paid off just in such a difficult phase; With the issue of additional shares, fresh money came into the cash register.

The SpVgg is now campaigning for new members with a special campaign. And again it is a little different than you might expect. Because advertising for new club members should not only be a building block to generate income. Again, it is an attempt to appeal to solidarity. Because the club wants to donate 50 percent of the annual fee due again and pass it on directly to social projects in the community. As a treat on top of this, each new member even receives a jersey as a welcome gift.

The 1000 mark is the goal of SpVgg Unterhaching

So far, the SpVgg has almost 1,000 members. If, of all things, the 1000 mark fell in times of the Corona crisis, in which you can not see any sports competitions, that would also be a sign. The annual contribution for (passive) memberships is 84 euros for adults, 54 euros for children up to 18 years, family membership costs 125 euros. Further information is available on the SpVgg homepage.
