The representatives of the 3rd division voted on Monday evening with a narrow 10: 8 majority (with two abstentions) for the possible continuation of their season . This was announced by the German Football Association (DFB) after a meeting with the 3rd division committee and the 20 clubs. Game operations will remain suspended until April 30th and until further notice.
It was about “getting an actual opinion in the third division ”, said DFB vice-president Peter Frymuth , who is responsible for the third highest division : “The result of the query is to be respected and accepted by everyone. Even if the picture is not uniform, there is a majority opinion among the clubs as to what should be done in the event of a change in the official disposition. "
3rd league: Bavarian clubs vote unanimously to continue
As far as possible, the aim is to continue the sporting end of the season by June 30th. The basis for a resumption are the corresponding official orders and political approvals. SpVgg Unterhaching, TSV 1860, Bayern amateurs, Ingolstadt 04, Würzburger Kickers, Eintracht Braunschweig , Hansa Rostock , KFC Uerdingen , Viktoria Köln and Votoria voted for the continuation Chemnitz FC . The 1. FC Kaiserslautern and SV Meppen abstained. Neither the management of the Löwen nor SpVgg Unterhaching wanted to comment on the results of the survey on request.
The DFB underlined that it was not yet a decision. The 3rd league committee and the responsible DFB bodies should now deal with the further procedure on this basis. Decisions to continue the season would then have to be made by the DFB Presidium or the Executive Board.

Due to the recently escalated debate, the umbrella organization felt compelled to issue an order. "In the end, the majority of the 3rd league clubs followed the unanimous recommendation of the committee," commented Tom Eilers , chairman of the 3rd league committee : "We have an intensive discussion process (...)
