The BSC Oberhausen and TSV Weilheim will continue to play together in the next season. However, the SG is not meant to be a permanent solution. Both clubs have the long-term goal: football independence.

Oberhausen / Weilheim - In the time before Corona, when direct social contacts were still possible, those responsible for the BSC Oberhausen and TSV Weilheim sat down at a table and talked about the situation of their syndicate (SG). They came to the following conclusion: At some point, both clubs want to regain their footballing independence. In the coming season there will still be a SG. "Even if this syndicate was born out of nowhere, I don't want to tear it down right away," said Gerhard Bertl. The football department head of the BSC Oberhausen also confirmed: "This is a project of limited time."

The long-term goal is to regain football independence

At the moment, however, both clubs can only survive in one SG. The Oberhausen team had to cope with the departure of eight players before this season. The newly added players from TSV Weilheim were only able to partially compensate for this personal bloodletting. The goal of the BSC is to bring actors like Maximilian Heringer, Stefan Kunzendorf (both 1. FC Garmisch-Partenkirchen) or Stefan Schimpl (SV Polling) back to the Hungerbach stadium at home. But that takes time. It is currently in the stars whether and when said actors will join their home club. The long-term goal is to regain football independence or, as a second option, “a syndicate with a neighboring club,” says Bertl.

The situation with the Weilheimers is similar. After the sporty relegation to the B-Class last season, they also had several departures and would not have been able to create a competitive squad on their own. It is also in the interest of the TSV soccer players, for whom Chairman Dieteruster is temporarily managing the division that the syndicate will continue in the coming season. The Weilheimers make no secret of the fact that they will one day want to sail under their own flag again.

Aborting the season would be very useful to the SG

It is uncertain whether this season football will once again be played in the Zugspitze district - even if it should continue from September 1st. As macabre as it is, breaking off the season, which will presumably result in the cancellation of all games, would be very useful to the SG. After a completely screwed up first round, the syndicate occupies last place in district class 3. After a very successful start with two wins and a draw in the first four games, the SG coached by Markus Bierling quickly reduced. In the following ten games there was not a single success to celebrate, eight times the kickers collective from Oberhausen and Weilheim were losers. The last five games before the winter break were lost in a row, the consortium did not score a single goal in the last four games.

"We have not recovered from this low blow"

The decisive game that triggered this unbelievable downward trend is BSC football boss Bertl's 1-6 home loss to FSV Höhenrain, who are also threatened with relegation, on match day five. "We never recovered from this low blow." This sporty downhill run was flanked by bad luck for injuries. Pillars of the team such as Josef Frankl, Dominik Reindl or Raphael Franz were only sporadically or not at all available over long periods due to injury or for professional reasons. "And then with such a series of defeats you also lose confidence," Bertl states.

Regardless of whether and with what success the SG Oberhausen / Weilheim is still playing in the district class this season, which is to be continued from September 1st, in any case Bertl would like to keep the previous coach Markus Bierling: "The team is from Work of the trainer fully convinced. We wouldn't mind if he continues. ”
