District - While in the adult sector the course has been set for a resumption of play on September 1 (or later if necessary) and table positions and points achieved so far should be taken into account, there is still no solution for the youngsters. Association youth leader Florian Weißmann presented various scenarios in a true "webinar marathon" from complete demolition to continuation like in women's and men's football last weekend. The question of how things will go for the children and young people remains open for the time being.

A look into the youth area is complicated

According to the latest status, the Bavarian clubs will rather not be asked to create an opinion like the senior citizens. With their “yes” vote, they gave the association the green light to continue the suspended 2019/20 season. Now it may have been reasonable for the smaller district associations to make a decision for their mostly no more than two to three women's and men's teams. A closer look at the substructure turns out to be significantly more complex, especially for the youngsters (U19). Because this is the age group in which a large part of the players can also be used in the men's area, but also the one to which the greatest challenges and changes in life up to that time are pounding. For example, if the school year and youth football season were at least somewhat in sync until the corona crisis, the proper completion of the leagues in summer 2020 is impossible - and depending on the future scenario - at least in summer 2021 uncertain. Means: Due to the start of training or semesters, clubs may have to do without players that would have been available by the end of the season in a possible extension from September 1.

Malecki does not expect any major problems

Rafael Malecki, U19 coach of the district league club SE Freising, does not expect any major problems in his squad. "These are rather isolated cases and they also happen during the season," he says. There is a greater danger if there are any possibilities (such as a shortened transfer window) to change clubs. "It definitely has to be postponed to the end of the new season, otherwise there is a risk of distortion of competition", clarifies Malecki and wonders how the program of the suspended season can be managed at all. "If we have to compete in Murnau on a Wednesday evening - how is that supposed to work?"

Possible problems for syndicates

At SV Langenbach, whose players, together with kickers from Haag, Kirchdorf and Marzling, play in one of the county's many playing communities, department head Sebastian Zitzelsberger sees a possible problem in the communication between the clubs. "Everyone is sure to be thinking," assures Zitzelsberger, "but those responsible should sit at a table as soon as possible." Without a clear special regulation from the association, the Langenbach soccer boss fears that the teams could break apart in the worst case , because the youngsters prefer to or should appear in the men's area of their parent clubs. "Whenever possible, the boys should also play in their men's teams," Zitzelsberger clarifies - only that shouldn't be entirely at the expense of existing teams. Because of course the U19 kickers train here and there in the adult area and also help (permanently) on Sundays. "The boys mentally say goodbye to youth football," shows Andreas Locke, alongside Christian Czypull and Gerhard Kain one of three SG coaches, understanding. Because of "sociable aspects" one or the other in the age felt more connected to the men's teams anyway.

“Organizationally, it would therefore be possible to cancel the season and perhaps the easiest,” says Locke. "But what do you do with the BOL, for example?" "Wait and see and keep the teams together with video conferences and online tactics training," Malecki concludes.
