Trainer duo for Lohhofs volleyball players

Lohhof– The future of Lohhofer second division volleyball players has a lot of question marks right now: when can you meet again for a “real” team meeting to talk about the new season, and who will be there? When will the season start and in what form? And when will joint training in the hall be possible again? Questions that almost all team sports face in one way or another, but at least one question mark resolved in Lohhof at the beginning of the week: as the successor to coach Patrick Sprung, the athletes responsible introduced a duo of coaches. The team's previous athletic trainer, Elena Kiesling, and Claudia Mürle, who at SVL probably knows every child. Because in addition to training the SVL talent squad in the third division, the 43-year-old has trained numerous youth teams in the past 15 years. She knows the team, but her new tandem partner is probably even better. "Physios and athletic trainers like to pour out their hearts," says Mürle, "because they are just a little bit apart."

You know each other - this is certainly a valuable constant in the generally uncertain situation. The other important point should be the experience of the two trainers. Not only as A-trainers and talent developers, because after her job as a second division player coach, Kiesling also worked in the youth division in Stuttgart at the federal base in Stuttgart. An additional plus can be that both can look back on successful player careers. Mürle was a player of various first division teams for many years and was also successful in the sand, Kiesling celebrated numerous titles and podium places on the German beach tour during and after her second division time in the hall. This player perspective can be an advantage, especially in discussions with the previous year's squad. According to Kiesling, there are still three wobbly candidates, "the rest keep going." However, the 37-year-old does not want to persuade anyone, "they have to want that themselves and want to push themselves to the limits of their potential." Coaching textbook, and in fact the sports scientist and doctor of American studies just co-founded a coaching platform for sports but also business coaching. She also oversees the Dollinger / Kulzer beach team, which would be involved in the expanded German leadership. But the German tour has already been canceled, which gives Elena Kiesling the time to take the "nice chance" from Lohhof.

How both coaches master the situation when Kiesling is back on the
beach and Mürle is also well-involved with the youth work in Lohhof, her own children and job, must be shown: "One could not have done this alone on time," says Mürle. The "internal double top" was, however, the clear wish solution of the department management, and the two trainers are now not stepping into completely new territory when it comes to implementation: "It's relatively normal at the beach. We have to bring structure to our communication, ”Kiesling sees as one of the most important tasks,“ so that everyone knows what's going on. ”
