What children have ahead of parents in football

No sports company in all of Bavaria. That also means: no Merkur CUP this year. As reported, this year we have to do without the largest e-youth tournament in the world.

We still want to introduce the U 11 teams from the circle. In addition, in this decelerated time there is now room for things that also make up football in addition to goals and points. Things that we have summarized in the "Book of Values". We want to bring some contributions to this in the coming weeks.

County - Sometimes it is not easy to have the best player on the team as a son. You probably know yourself, since your son is definitely the best of his team. You have a lot to swallow when the rather mediocre players prevent another great success. Because they keep pawing, are lazy to walk and never respond to your boy's brilliant ideas. And afterwards cheekily claim that he played catastrophic bad passes.

No, it is not easy for us, we parents of highly gifted children. Because we constantly have to see that the coaches also extraordinarily promote the extraordinary talent of our extraordinary son. Because we dream of calling FC Bayern. And then real life keeps interfering because we are surrounded by ignorant people.

The parents' ambition

Recently we parents got pretty close to each other on the sidelines. Because the father of this awkward defender simply didn't want to accept two goals conceded on his boy's cap. Even snotty claimed that his son was the best that day. And our extraordinarily talented boy once again had to put up with a defeat, which, let's say it cautiously, was due to under-equipped teammates. But doesn't it speak for the good character of our extraordinary boy that he didn't feel that dramatically and even defended his defender? Should the children see it differently from us, should friendship and team spirit perhaps be more important to them than the ambition of the parents?

A youth coach from a large club put it this way: The boys have no problem integrating into the hierarchy of a team. But the parents would always mess everything up because they want to project their own, unfulfilled hopes into the children.

The fight against the other parents

And while the boys fight together on the field, we parents fight against each other on the line. Because each of us is convinced that our son is the best. And that he is completely given away in this team, that he actually deserves to play for Bayern long ago.

Later, when life has destroyed some dreams, we may be able to think about everything less emotionally. Can ask us if it would not have been better to spare the children the pressure to allow them to develop naturally with their team and friends.

Easy said. Who wants to and can stand by and watch how and if the boy develops when he is the most extraordinary German football talent since Franz Beckenbauer?

The Merkur CUP

is the world's largest e-junior soccer tournament. It is organized by the Munich Merkur with the BFV and sponsored by the premium sponsors ESB Energie Südbayern, CEWE as well as the supplier macron with macronstore Munich. FC Bayern Munich, SpVgg Unterhaching and TSV 1860 Munich also support the tournament. As a local sponsor, Raiffeisen-Volksbank Ebersberg is a loyal sponsor of the Merkur CUP. Other sponsors: FC Bayern Erlebniswelt, FC Bayern Frauen, Allianz Arena, Howe, AHD Sitzberger and Busreisen Geldhauser. ESB is also a fair play partner of the Merkur CUP.
