  • Robert Weidel estimates that he has scored approximately 350 goals for various clubs in his career
  • Little son Marcel is in first place at the moment, but he does not rule out a comeback as a coach in the future .
  • In the interview , the striker talks about his killer instinct and his career.

Robert Weidel is a top scorer legend in amateur football. The 36-year-old, now a stand-by player at TSV Fürstenfeldbruck West, has achieved 108 hits in 88 games in various district classes alone since our database was recorded. According to his own estimate, there were 350 stalls in his entire career in the men's area.

In the interview, the “wandering bird” talks about the most beautiful stages of his career, his secret of success in front of the opposing team, son Marcel, who becomes a footballer rather than a dancer and a possible comeback as a coach.

"I felt very comfortable in every club"

Which stage in your football career was the most beautiful?

I felt very comfortable with every club and enjoyed playing everywhere. However, the stations at TuS Holzkirchen, SV Sulzemoos, TSV Gilching and SV Germering stand out.

How did it come about that you became a trainer in Germering for three years?

At that time I was a player coach at SV Germering. The club asked me then. Since I learned to play football there, I accepted the offer without hesitation.

For dad Robert, little son Marcel comes first

In the past five years you have been on the pitch for five different clubs. Why?

At that time I actually always went with friends and changed my place of residence so often. But that has changed since the birth of my son. He has the highest priority, of course, and I really enjoy spending time with him. That is why football has moved into the background for the time being. That's why I've played fewer games in recent years.

Have you prevailed against your wife in the meantime - is your child now becoming a dancer or soccer player?

(laughs) Luckily my son decides that all by himself. We will of course not force him to do anything. However, I suspect that he tends towards football.

Which club would Weidel-Junior start kicking at?

At the beginning probably at a club nearby.

Robert Weidel: 350 goals in the men's area

Unfortunately, our FuPa statistics do not go back forever. How many goals have you really scored in your career?

That was an estimated 350 goals in the men's area.

Madness, what kind of striker are you?

I do not torch long in front of the gate. You can't think long. That's why I would call myself a classic executor. The easiest thing for me to do is to get the ball nice in the barrel.

You met at all of your clubs and were ERDINGER goal scorers several times. What's your secret recipe

Football is a team sport. I can only be as successful as my colleagues allow. Team harmony is crucial. I was lucky that many teams were tailored to me.

"I can't imagine my life without football"

You only played two games at TSV FFB West this season. Are you going to hang up your shoes soon?

For three years now, I've only played when I'm needed and there aren't enough players in the squad. But I can't imagine my life without football. Fortunately, there are still AH teams. I also love to play in benefit tournaments. The "kicking for children" tournament in Germering is an absolute must and in my eyes the best benefit tournament.

Are you aiming for a coaching career - maybe even at your heart club SV Germering?

I can definitely imagine working as a trainer again. Back then I had a lot of fun. SV Germering is currently not an option. They have enough good people right now.

"Football is like a family"

Wouldn't it be nice to train your son someday?

I think that would be a dream for many fathers, of course also for me.

What do you think makes soccer so special?

I always like to compare football with a family. The connection and togetherness are extremely important. There is also always something going on, even if you are not playing yourself. That's why I appreciate your work at FuPa. I can get information there. I am pleased and I will stay up to date.
