Nobody expected that: Coach Eyal Lachman (54), who has not coached in the Premier League for many years and until recently served as the professional director in the MS Youth Division. Ashdod, concluded on joining Hapoel Raanana in the contract until the end of the season.

Ra'anana says that the club's management felt after their defeat in the coaching game on Friday against Katamon that if the team did not go into shock it would not be able to stay in the Premier League, and now Lahman would be the one to try to save her from relegation. 

"Hapoel Ra'anana is pleased to announce the appointment of Eyal Lachman as the team's coach until the end of the season. We are convinced that Lachman will succeed in his only task: to keep the team in the Premier League," the club statement said.

The club also offered to coach Gal Cohen, who has guided the team so far, to remain as assistant to Lachman's coach, but Cohen refused and would not continue with the team.
