Berlin (dpa) - The fight against relegation from the Bundesliga continues to intensify. On Saturday the penultimate Werder Bremen won 1-0 (1-0) at FC Schalke 04 and temporarily reduced the deficit to Fortuna Düsseldorf on the relegation place to two points.
The FSV Mainz 05 as table-15. after a 0: 1 (0: 1) against TSG Hoffenheim only three points more than Bremen. FC Augsburg lost 0: 2 (0: 1) at Hertha BSC and now occupies 14th place - also because Eintracht Frankfurt passed VfL Wolfsburg by 2: 1 (1: 0).
