Fürstenfeldbruck - The football clubs have been waiting for the decision for a long time. Five days after the fundamental decision of the DFB Bundestag, the Bavarian Football Association (BFV) announced its proposals for club changes among amateurs. The working group (AG) set up by the BFV decided that a club change should be possible between June 30 and August 31 - although the interrupted 19/20 season should not continue until autumn.

The working group decided to allow the change of players to another club according to the winter change modalities. This means that the player willing to change relies on the consent of the releasing club. Otherwise, there is a six-month ban. However, the rule remains that the player must log out of his club by June 30th. Likewise unchanged, the club must give or refuse the player's consent within 14 days after the withdrawal declaration. All passport applications for women and men that have been received by the association since May 15 are to be processed in accordance with this proposed regulation. The BFV has currently suspended the switch options due to the corona pandemic until a further decision.

The rules of change from amateur to contract player remain unchanged

In contrast, the regulation remains unchanged for contractual players who can continue to change without consent for labor law reasons. But also only if they were again listed as contract players at the new club. A change of status from amateur to contract player requires the consent of the releasing club.

"Almost all clubs have not played a competitive game this year," BFV President Rainer Koch explains the decision. “So nothing changes compared to the change of players in winter. We are experiencing an extended winter break with the interruption. We are therefore all firmly convinced that this solution also creates the best possible balance of interests. The legitimate fear of the clubs that they would be left defenseless and helpless is now a thing of the past, ”says Koch.

Because Bernd Reiser, head of the north play group in the Zugspitz group, feared that the clubs would not look into their BFV mailbox as often due to the corona-related standstill, he immediately sent the association decision again. The important news should really reach all clubs.
