Players from four Bundesliga clubs kneeled to the ground on Sunday in support of anti-racism after George Floyd's death in the aftermath of Bayern and Dortmund, also active on the subject. These images, before the Bremen-Wolfsburg and Union Berlin-Schalke meetings, once again demonstrated the commitment of German footballers to the issue, while solidarity movements have multiplied around the world.

- SV Werder Bremen (@werderbremen) June 7, 2020The move was popularized by NFL (American Football League) player Colin Kaepernick, who has become a spokesperson for protests in the United States against police violence, especially against minorities of color. It became news again after the death of George Floyd, a black man who died during a police arrest in late May in Minneapolis in the United States.
On Saturday, Bayern and Dortmund players arrived at the warm-up with t-shirts evoking the worldwide protest movement "BlackLivesMatter". Several players also made personal gestures in tribute to George Floyd after scoring a goal. The Mönchengladbach Frenchman Marcus Thuram notably knelt down, while Dortmund players Jadon Sancho and Achraf Hakimi displayed a T-shirt with the inscription "Justice for George Floyd".
