The capital club expects its players this Monday to begin testing prior to the implementation of collective training.

Like all schoolchildren in France, PSG players are expected to resume this Monday morning. With the exception of starters Edinson Cavani, Thomas Meunier, Adil Aouchiche and Tanguy Kouassi, all members of the professional workforce must report to the Camp des Loges (Saint-Germain-en-Laye) or in a hospital at the start of the morning. Hauts-de-Seine, where the club has its habits.

Also affected are members of the under-19 team such as Arnaud Kalimuendo, Timothé Pembélé and Denis Franchi. A precious help to complete a workforce which has not yet registered new recruits and thus to envisage the future sporting deadlines.

To prepare the finals of the Coupe de France, the Coupe de la Ligue and the "Final 8" of the Champions League, PSG must first perform a series of medical tests. All players and staff members will go through the PCR box, from the name of the tests to detect the Covid-19.

The watchword: "No injury"

As required by the health protocol established by the Professional Football League (LFP) and Doctor Rolland, a former member of the Parisian club, a player who tests positive will be placed in isolation and then tested again at regular intervals. Three players from AS Saint-Etienne, PSG opponent in the Coupe de France final on July 24, for example, tested positive last week.

These medical examinations will take place this Monday before the implementation of further individual physical tests and this until Wednesday inclusive. The players will not resume real training until Thursday and in a small group "for a progressive resumption of physical activity," said the club. Abdou Diallo, operated on his back in early June, begins his rehabilitation on Monday.

PSG wants to exercise maximum caution after a season marked by many muscle problems that the three months off could accentuate. "No injury": that is the watchword at the Camp des Loges. Attendance at the training center will also be limited in order to prevent any transmission of the coronavirus. As for the first friendly matches, they will start within a fortnight.
