After Mathieu Bodmer and David N'Gog, another former PSG announces his retirement from the professional world this Friday: Christophe Jallet, at the age of 36. Under contract with Amiens last season, the right side left the field after twenty years playing under the colors of Niort, Lorient, Paris, Lyon, Nice and, therefore, Amiens.
Recognizable by his closely shaved head, Jallet, born in Cognac (Charente) in 1983, is a familiar head of the French championships.
Between Ligue 2 and National with the Chamois niortais and, above all, 14 seasons in Ligue 1, Jallet has played nearly 450 professional games. The apotheosis, he knew it with PSG by being captain and double champion of France in 2013 and 2014, but also with the team of France, accumulating 16 selections and the lost final of Euro 2016.
For him, the best is Zlatan
"I almost equate the title of National with Niort (2006) and that of Ligue 1 with Paris (the first in 2013), because, in both cases, we had a great bunch of friends," he explains. it this Friday in the columns of L'Équipe.
An interview during which Jallet chooses the best player with whom he has played: “Zlatan (Ibrahimovic). We don't all have the same qualities, and he had a lot more than us, for sure, but he managed to advance more than one in our team, to make us win titles. ”
If he does not yet know the details of his post-career, Christophe Jallet assumes his choice. This father of three had "no desire to finish on this coronavirus crisis" but he claims to have "arrived at the end of the road".
