Four games were played tonight (Wednesday) as part of the 36th round of the Premier League. In the spotlight, champions Liverpool lost at the Emirates Stadium and lost a chance to break or equal the points record in the Citizens season. Only two rounds to the end of the season, the battle for tickets to Europe is still hot. Tottenham beat Newcastle away, in the shadow of the tragedy that befell team player Serge Oreya. Manchester City deepened Bournemouth's troubles at the bottom, Wolves and Burnley parted ways in a draw.

Arsenal - Liverpool 1: 2

The champion came to the Emirates Stadium with 93 points, with the only goal she has left this season in the league being to break the points record for a single season in the Premier League, held by Manchester City, who took 100 points in the 2017/18 season. But Arsenal managed to turn a 1-0 deficit into a win in the first half, and the Reds will be able to reach "only" 99 points this season, if they win in the last two rounds.

The champion opened the game better and took the lead in the 20th minute when a wide ball from Andy Robertson found Sadio Mane, who pushed inside. 12 minutes went by and a mistake by Virgil Van Dyke led to a draw. Alexander Lacassette took advantage of the loss of the brake ball, passed Allison and equalized. Arsenal managed to turn the score around in the first half, when in the 44th minute another mistake by the visitors, this time it was the goalkeeper Alison who delivered badly, Lacassette snatched and cooked for Reiss Nelson, who determined the result of the game.

Newcastle - Tottenham 3: 1

The Spurs mourn the death of Serge Uriah's brother, who was shot to death in France two days ago. Despite the tragedy, Uriah started in Mourinho's squad with a 1-3 win over Newcastle, who are in 13th place. Following the result, Tottenham are advancing at least temporarily to 7th place (until Sheffield United play) and remain in the picture of the battle for a ticket to Europe.

Yong Min Sun put the Roosters ahead in the 27th minute from Giovanni Lou Celso's cooking. Matt Richie equalized in the 56th minute, but the equalizer only lasted 4 minutes, until Harry Kane (Stephen Brahwin’s cooking) returned the advantage to the visitors. In the 90th minute Kane completed a double when he took control of a ball that Dubrava did not top well.

Manchester City - Bournemouth 1: 2

The big news for the Citizens this week was when their appeal was accepted, and they will be able to play in the Champions League next season. Tonight they beat Bournemouth 1: 2 below the red line, 3 points away and playing less than Watford and West Ham above them in the table.

David Silva gave Manchester City the lead in the 6th minute with a great free kick right on the verge of an extension. The goalkeeper had no chance to stop this ball. Silva was not satisfied with the goal he scored and in the 39th minute cooked for Jesus who doubled the result. In the 59th minute, Bournemouth thought they were shrinking when Joshua King put the ball in Ederson's net, but after a VAR check the goal was disqualified because King was in a different position. In the 88th minute Bournemouth managed to shrink as David Brooks was left alone against Ederson.

In another game, Wolves remained in sixth place after 1: 1 with Burnley rising to 9th place (Raul Jimenez 76 ', Wood equalized in a 90 + 5' penalty).
