June 16, 2019: Appointment of Maurizio Sarri as coach
After the announcement of their separation by mutual agreement with Massimiliano Allegri on May 17, Juve are looking for a new coach. The biggest names are mentioned: we are talking about Pep Guardiola, Mauricio Pocchetino, who then came out of a C1 final with Tottenham, or even a return of Antonio Conte, before he finally signed to the Inter, but it will not be. Instead, the tifosis see the arrival of Maurizio Sarri, the former Napoli coach, who is leaving Chelsea after just one season. At first glance, the Juve-Sarri association is not really obvious. Stamped southern football in a country where North-South rivalry is very present in football and even in society, Sarri had several times had rather harsh words towards Juventus and his supporters when he coached Naples. August 31, 2019: Victory over Naples (4-3), first goal of the season for Ronaldo
Silent in the first league match in Parma (1-0 victory), Cristiano Ronaldo repaired this by scoring his first goal of the season on the hour mark against Napoli. December 7, 2019: defeat to Lazio (1-3)
