Good news in the south of Portugal. After touching up the ball on Saturday for the first time since his right ankle injury, Kylian Mbappé found the rhythm of an opposition this Sunday. The Frenchman participated without incident in the collective exercises concocted by Thomas Tuchel for this second collective session near Faro, in the Algarve.
Mbappé started by warming up with his teammates before stepping aside to test his ankle with the medical staff. The world champion then joined the rest of the workforce and grabbed a chasuble synonymous with participation in the oppositions.
In an exercise devoted to quick attacks, Mbappé seemed in legs, allowing himself to dribble and heavy strikes with the right foot, sore since the tackle of Loïc Perrin, on July 24 in the final of the Coupe de France. If his tenure against Atalanta Bergamo on Wednesday remains ruled out, seeing him on the scoresheet no longer seems illusory. He concluded the collective session the day before the others, so as not to force the contacts too much. He continued to test his ankle by sprinting apart.
The other important point of this session of the day concerns Ander Herrera. The different teams made up by Tuchel's staff gave him an important place each time, in a three-way environment, with Marquinhos and Gueye. Can he take the place promised to Paredes in the midfield in the absence of Marco Verratti? The option seems credible. The technical staff appreciate the Spaniard's investment and could therefore make this strong choice. One thing seems to have been confirmed: PSG should evolve in 4-3-3 against Bergamo.
