Several dozen Ultramarines, the main group of supporters of the Girondins de Bordeaux, invited themselves to the club's headquarters on Tuesday morning to once again demand the departure of President Frédéric Longuépée, absent from Haillan. This “symbolic and peaceful” intrusion comes the day after the departure of Portuguese coach Paulo Sousa and the appointment in his place of Jean-Louis Gasset, as well as the arrival of the new director of football Alain Roche, whom this group has welcomed. .
Equipped with their favorite banner "Longuépée resignation" which they fixed in front of the entrance to the Castle according to several videos and photos posted on social networks, the Ultramarines entered the headquarters and were received by the head of the security Arnaud Poupard, recently set up by President Longuépée.
These supporters, very active for a year against the management of the club and in particular its president, justified their action in a press release: “We cherish our club too much to be satisfied with a superficial restructuring. We must go to the end. Mr. Longuépée is not only loved by no one, he is hated by everyone. He destroyed everything in his path, from the club's values to its emblems. He cannot stay at the head of the Girondins de Bordeaux any longer ”.
During confinement, the Ultramarines had made their mark by broadcasting the Girondins Leaks, a series of compromising audio recordings of Mr. Longuépée and the director of the Bordeaux stadium and network commercial strategy, Antony Thiodet. The passage on a possible non-compliance with short-time working, had tarnished the image of the latter, fired at the end of July a few days after the visit of the labor inspectorate in Haillan.
