FC Bayern 2 has given up some players after the title in the 3rd division. Derrick Köhn, who has moved to Holland, could be succeeded by a young Scot.

  • FC Bayern Munich is interested in the Scottish talent Aaron Hickey .

  • Hickey could be signed as a replacement for Derrick Köhn who has migrated to the Netherlands.
  • The Scottish youth international is courted by several European clubs.

Munich - The record champions have a Scottish youth international who is already a regular at the first division  Hearts of Midlothian . The young man goes by the name of Aaron Hickey and is just 18 years old.

FC Bayern Munich: Aaron Hickey on the hook

Hickey is considered one of the most promising talents in football in Scotland. The 18-year-old knows how to convince with his speed and urge to move forward. The Hearts of Midlothian professional made 34 appearances for the first team in his younger years and is part of the Scottish U19 national team. Before joining Hearts , Hickey was trained at Celtic Glasgow .

According to the BBC, the youngster got a picture of Säbener Strasse and the grounds of the German record champions last week . Accordingly, the left-back was enthusiastic after his visit to Munich. The 1.75 meter tall defender could, like other talents, train regularly with the professionals and gather the necessary match practice with the U23 in the 3rd division. Hickey's market value is currently € 600,000 .

Bard most likely not to replace Köhn

The search for an aspiring left-back is the result of Derrick Köhn's departure. Born in Hamburg, he was a regular at  FC Bayern II and was an important part of the championship team. Looking at the two top-class players David Alaba and Alphonso Davies on the left side of defense, the 21-year-old lacked perspective and decided in January to move to Holland to join Willem II.

Very bitter departures from the amateurs of FC Bayern‼ ️ Would you have kept the players ❓ Or else the future would be blocked for them

So far, the name Melvin Bard has often been mentioned in the media as Köhn's successor . The French U20 international mostly played for the second team at Olympique Lyon . Although he made his professional debut against Nimes this year , he actually wants to leave the Champions League quarter-finalist. According to SKY  , the 19-year-old is in agreement with the record champions, but the two clubs are still far apart when it comes to the transfer.

Hickey on the list at other top European clubs

This is probably one of the reasons why the Reds looked for an alternative to Bard. But not only Bayern seem to be interested in the talented Scot. Allegedly, in addition to the Italian first division club FC Bologna,  the English clubs  Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday are also interested. The prestige of the German record champions and the fact that two young players, Alphonso Davies and Joshua Zirkzee , were recently able to gain a foothold in Hansi Flick's squad, could play into Bayern's cards in the negotiations.
