“We are really happy to see him so closely,” says Joshua, on vacation in Portugal with friends. I had taken a jersey to have it signed, but I didn't really believe it. I hope he will make the difference tonight ”. For his first match on Portuguese soil, Ney is expected. Among the other stars: Marquinhos, Thiago Silva and Kylian Mbappé, who starts on the bench. The two Brazilian defenders, Portuguese-speaking, heard their names chanted before getting on the bus.

At the conclusion of the journey of about a quarter of an hour from the hotel to the Luz stadium, the Parisians were greeted by another volley of supporters. Several dozen were there, singing to the glory of the club. Everyone will then go downtown to attend the meeting, behind closed doors because of the Covid-19, in restaurants, the only establishments that can accommodate the public. A small fan-zone has started to take shape in Dom Pedro IV square, not far from the popular districts of the center, but no giant screen will be set up before the final.
