Wednesday, 12 August 2020, 23:20The Athletic website reports that Maccabi Tel Aviv's coach for the past two seasons, Vladan Ivic, has been appointed Watford's new coach for the next two years. The Serbian coach, who has won two Israeli championships with Maccabi Tel Aviv, has been negotiating with the Wasps in recent weeks, and is expected to start a new career at the club that was relegated last season from the Premier League to the English Championship.
Ivica will step into the shoes of Nigel Pearson, who finished his way after the dramatic league relegation. He will be the club's fourth head coach in a year, after Xavi Gracia, Kika Sanchez Flores and Pearson. In the past, the team was coached by two other coaches who moved to Kiryat Shalom - Selvisha Yukanovich and Oscar Garcia.
