Very good news for Hapoel Jerusalem: Tyson Thomas will return next season and continue for a third season in a row in the team uniform from the capital.
Thomas (27, 2.03 m) arrived in Jerusalem in the summer of 2018 and soon became one of the best players on the team while winning the State Cup twice and the Winner Cup once. Last season he was a leading candidate to win the title of Outstanding Player in the FIBA Champions League.
In recent weeks, the parties have been in contact, as the player's agents tried to find him a team in Europe, but in the end the team agreed to exercise the option for another season.
The club now hopes to keep Jacoben Brown as well and a final answer to that will be received by the end of the week, when there is currently great optimism about the chances of the move succeeding.
