Sochi (dpa) - In what may be the first Formula 1 race in the Corona emergency season with spectators, the Russian organizers are expecting 30,000 to 32,000 fans in Sochi.
The 2014 Winter Olympics Grand Prix is scheduled for September 27th. Half of the grandstands are to be occupied. The managing director Alexej Titow explained "autosport.com". After three months of downtime, ticket sales started slowly.
The strict safety and hygiene measures under which Formula 1 is currently contesting its season without spectators should also be observed in Sochi, assured Titov. The usual tour of the pit lane for spectators or the autograph sessions would also be omitted at the Russian Grand Prix. "It will definitely not be a Grand Prix like usual," he said.
