German press reports revealed that the English club Liverpool are close to obtaining the services of Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich during the current summer transfer market to strengthen the Reds midfield next season.
The German newspaper Bild reported that Liverpool began its official contacts with the Bayern Munich management in order to complete the contract with the Spanish Alcantara during the current summer Mercato.
The newspaper added that the Bayern Munich administration has set an amount of "30 to 40" million euros in order to allow the Spanish midfielder to leave this summer, who ended his agreement on the personal terms of his contract with Liverpool.
