Gerald Hillringhaus: Via TSV Gilching-Angelsried to TSV 1860 Munich
Gerald Hillringhaus's football career began in 1972 at the age of ten at TSV Gilching-Argelsried . Nine years later, the goalkeeper switched to TSV 1860 Munich in 1981 . In its first season, the Münchner Löwen played in the 2nd Bundesliga . There came Hillringhaus but not used. However, due to licensing problems, TSV had to join the Bayernliga in 1982 , which was then the 3rd division . There the young goalkeeper got his chance and took advantage of it. Between 1982 and 1985 he played 96 games for the Lions.
After his time at TSV 1860 Munich , the ambitious goalkeeper joined SpVgg Bayreuth for one season . This was just promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga . For the Upper Franconia he stood 22 times between the posts. After SpVgg Bayreuth went down again, Gerry joined Türkgücü Munich . There he guarded the gate until 1990.

After the chapter Türkgücü Munich it went to the next Munich club, namely FC Bayern Munich . At the beginning of the German record champions Hillringhaus was only number three and therefore played a lot in the second team. In the 1991/1992 season he was appointed second keeper.
