On the face of it, Maccabi Petah Tikva had a good chance of reaching the Toto Cup final this season. She should have beaten Hapoel Kfar Saba and hoped for the stumbles of Bnei Sakhnin and Hapoel Tel Aviv, but instead of fighting for the possibility of reaching a game for a title, Guy Luzon's team simply collapsed.
Eitan Azoulay's red card less than 20 minutes from the start of the game preyed on the cards for the Malabes. Kizito and Makhlouf scored in the first half while Guy Hadida narrowed the result, but in the second half the numerical disadvantage did its thing and KPS scored two more goals - Sagi Dror and Kizito, and celebrated its debut victory in the factory, a little too late.
