Contract talks between Milan and Ibrahimovic stall

Negotiations about a contract extension for Zlatan Ibrahimovic with the Italian first division soccer club AC Milan have stalled because of the high demands of the Swedish old star. The 38-year-old wants a contract for two more years and a salary of 7.5 million euros per season. That would make him the best-paid Milan player.

Ibrahimovics manager Mino Raiola has increased his claims, which were initially five million euros plus bonuses, reported the Gazzetta dello Sport. The club, on the other hand, has made financial stability a priority.

The Swede returned to the former champions in winter and has played a key role in the club's soaring in recent weeks. He collected three million euros for the half of the season. Should Milan meet his demands, Ibrahimovic would allegedly become the third most expensive footballer in Serie A after superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who receives 31 million euros net per season at Juventus Turin, and Juve central defender Matthijs de Ligt (eight million euros).

Media: Ribery club Florence wants to sign Martinez

Franck Ribéry is supposed to lure Javi Martínez to the Italian first division club Fiorentina. According to information from Gazzetta dello Sport, the Tuscan club, thanks to Ribéry's mediation, made contact with the Spanish world champion from 2010, who is about to leave the German champions Bayern Munich despite a contract until 2021.

Martínez moved from Spanish first division club Athletic Bilbao to Bayern in 2012. Fiorentina finished the season in sixth place and wants to strengthen its squad for the next season.

Union gives young player Schneider professional contract

Union Berlin has given its midfield talent Fabio Schneider a professional contract. The 18-year-old, who moved from TSV Rudow to the Eiserne's youth performance center five years ago, will continue to be an integral part of the U19 team in the coming season and will finish school in summer 2021.

"I am very happy about this signal from the club. It is a great motivation a year ago, which offers not only the sporting but also the academic challenge," said Schneider. "Fabio has been playing for us for over five years. We know his skills very well and have also been able to observe his handling of setbacks very closely. We are therefore convinced that he will make the leap into professional football in the next few years," commented the junior managing director Lutz Munack signed the contract.

Eintracht Braunschweig brings striker Abdullahi back from Union Berlin

Second division promoted Eintracht Braunschweig has brought the Nigerian striker Suleiman Abdullahi back from the Bundesliga club 1. FC Union Berlin for a year. The 23-year-old played for Lower Saxony from 2016 to 2018 and will now be loaned out until June 30, 2021.

"Suleiman Abdullahi is a physically strong player who was rarely used at Union Berlin in his regular position in the middle of the storm," said Braunschweig sporting director Peter Vollmann. "We think that he will quickly settle in again in Braunschweig because he knows the environment and will bring his strengths to the field."
