Barcelona basketball team prepares for the season (from Barcelona's Twitter)

Portland completed the job tonight (Saturday) and secured its place in the NBA playoffs after beating Memphis 122: 126. The Blazers finished the regular season in eighth place in the West, and met the Grizzlies from ninth place in the playoffs who will determine which team will play in the first round of the playoffs. Taylor Jenkins' team needed a win in tonight's game, in which case it needed another win on Sunday to take eighth place, but surrendered after losing an advantage in the deciding minutes and saw CJ. McCollum (29) sets a turnaround in money time. That means Portland, which needed one win out of two possible encounters with the Grizzlies, will meet the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday to open the playoff series in the West.

The opening was entirely of the Blazers cruising to a slight double-digit lead during the first quarter, which they finished with a 19:31 lead. Memphis came up like a cannonball to the second quarter, opening it with 2:17 and taking the lead. Ja Morant took on a lot in the game, penetrating to the ring almost every moment he wanted, while Jonas and Lancionas (29) gave a great war under the baskets. On the other side, Yusuf Norkic (22) returned fire to the Lithuanian, while Damien Lillard as usual was above them all with 31 points and showed why he was chosen as the bubble's MVP.

The Grizzlies maintained their advantage during the first quarter, and managed to get important baskets and stops every time Portland approached. In the last three minutes came the awakening of McCollum who scored critical clutch shots, while the Grizzlies failed to score. 122: 126 at the end for Portland, which secured its place in the playoffs. Morant was wonderful in the Memphis ranks and finished with 35 points and 8 assists, but his team did not have what it needed tonight, and it finished the season.
