Belgian defender Vincent Kompany announced his official retirement from playing football at the age of thirty-four and devoted himself only to his duties as coach of Anderlecht.
Sky Sports quoted Kompany as saying in an official statement today that he has retired from football until he can devote himself to training due to his desire to lead Anderlecht outside the line as a coach for the team only.
And Anderlecht club published in a tweet on its official Twitter page .. Vincent became the coach of Anderlecht, he stopped his career as a player and took over the job as Frankie Frikuteren.
Kompany left Manchester City in the summer of 2019 to move to Anderlecht as a player and coach.
