The 2020/21 basketball season will begin on September 22 with the Winner’s Cup tournament. The tournament, which is usually played over one week, will this time last about three weeks due to the games of the Israeli teams in Europe. The final will be held on October 11, and the league will open six days later.

In the quarterfinals, eight teams will compete for their place in the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, a derby is possible when Maccabi Tel Aviv will play against the winner between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Beer Sheva. Other quarterfinals: Hapoel Jerusalem - Eilat / Ness Ziona, Hapoel Holon - Gilboa / Galil / Bnei Herzliya, Maccabi Rishon LeZion - Maccabi Haifa / Nahariya.
