Sonia Dave has already experienced quite a few fights in her life, but none of them prepared her for the nightmarish night she recently experienced. The WWE star was sleeping in her bed in Hillsboro, Florida, when a 24-year-old man suddenly burst into her home, armed with a knife, tear gas and duct tape, with whom he planned to tie up the fighter while abducting her.
Devil (whose real name is Daria Ray Brento), 26, said she woke up at 2:41 at night and started screaming, "What are you doing? What do you want?" The man approached her, "Then I realized he did not come to rob me, he is here to hurt me."
Luckily, the alarm went off just in time and within minutes police forces arrived and arrested the burglar, Philip Thomas. "It's scary to think about what would have happened if the alarm hadn't worked," the district sheriff said, "this man no doubt planned to hit it."

According to reports in the United States, Thomas planned the break-in for eight months and even traveled from South Carolina with the goal of kidnapping the WWE star. The preliminary investigation revealed that he sent Dabil a number of threatening messages on social media, even before the break-in. In one of them, he wrote: "I looked out, baby, by the pool. I'm here. I'm going to kill this little whore you have inside the house, with you." Thomas was referring to another WWE star, Mandy Rose, who was also staying at home. The two escaped from Thomas before he could hit them.
"The defendant admitted that his intention was to take the wrestler hostage," a report from the Hillsbro County Sheriff's Office said. "He planned to spray her with tear gas, tie her up and prevent her from fighting him."
