1 - So far, only one French club can be proud of having lifted the Champions League. It was OM in 1993, two years after a first failure in the final (1991). Forever the first ... Reims (1956, 1959), Saint-Etienne (1976) and Monaco (2004) broke their teeth in the final.
2 - Where Bayern has already appeared ten times in the Champions League final (five victories, as many defeats), the Parisian club has climbed to this level for the first time. Historical. The Rouge et Bleu have, however, played two European finals in their history, it was in the Cup both times: they won the first against Rapid Vienna (1996) and lost the second, against FC Barcelona under Ronaldo ( 0-1).

3 - This is the third time that Lisbon has hosted the final of the most prestigious European competition. Celtic dominated Inter at Estadio Nacional in 1967, while Real knocked down Atlético in 2014 at Estadio da Luz, where PSG-Bayern takes place. How many stadiums have twice hosted the event? Seven.

5 - Sacred five times (1974-76, 2001, 2013), Bayern is aiming for a sixth C1 title this Sunday. If necessary, the Bavarians would outrun Barça (5) and join Liverpool (6). Remember that Real Madrid is by far the most successful club in the history of the competition (13), ahead of AC Milan (7). The Munich club have also won the now defunct C2 (1967), C3 (1996) and the European Supercup (2013).
8 - PSG and Bayern have faced each other eight times so far, always in the Champions League group. The results are favorable to the Parisians: five wins against three. The last confrontations date back to 2017: Parisian victory at the Parc des Princes (3-0) before a Bavarian success on the return (3-1). We will remember in particular the anthology goal of George Weah in Munich, in 1994, or the slap in Germany, in 1997 (5-1). 9 - The Bavarian Thomas Tuchel, on the Parisian bench since 2018 and before passed by those of Mainz and Dortmund in Germany, lost nine times against Bayern. More than against any other team!
14 - Only 14 players have won the C1 with several clubs. They could be three more this Sunday, with Parisians Angel Di Maria (Real, 2014), Neymar (Barça, 2015) and Keylor Navas (Real, 2016-18).

20 - Bayern remain on 20 consecutive victories in all competitions. Machine.
23 - In the event of a coronation this Sunday, PSG would be the 23rd club to register its name on the list of C1. It would also be the second club, and the first since Chelsea in 2012, to win the Champions League for the first time in its history in the 21st century. The neophytes in the final are however rarely rewarded: the last six teams who played a first C1 final have lost. We have to go back to 1997 and the coronation of Dortmund against Juventus to find traces of a successful first attempt.
30 - Bayern have just celebrated their 30th German league title, the eighth in a row. For its part, Paris Saint-Germain has finished at the top of its championship nine times, including the last three years.
34 - Paris have scored at least once in their last 34 C1 matches, tying Real Madrid's competition record (2011-14).

42 - PSG have the best defense in the competition (5 goals conceded), while Bayern have the best attack (42 goals), just three units from Barça's record (45, 2009-10). The Barcelona had played 16 matches that year, only 10 for Bayern.
114 - No team had had to play so many C1 matches before reaching the final for the first time before PSG, 114. A “record” which until now belonged to the Arsenal Gunners (90 matches between 1971 and 2006).
499 - Bayern have scored 499 goals in C1 so far. Only Real (567) and Barça did better (517).
