Munich - A drama has occurred to a former player from the Bundesliga *. Emil Jula died completely unexpected . He was just 40 years old . Jula leaves behind a daughter. The death of the former striker was confirmed by his hometown club Universitatea Cluj on Facebook *.
Jula played in the Bundesliga for FC Energie Cottbus . He joined the Lausitzers in 2008 from the Romanian club Otelul Galati and made 27 games. He got four goals. After relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga *, he did not change immediately, but stayed for two years. In 2011 Jula moved on to MSV Duisburg. It was then awarded twice. First to the Cypriots Anorthosis Famagusta and then to VfL Osnabrück.

In 2013 he moved back to his homeland. Until 2015 Jula initially played for Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt and later again for Cluj and Galati. He let his career end in Lower Saxony. Until 2018 he was still active for TuS Bersenbrück, since then he has worked as an assistant trainer for the league club.

Emil Jula is dead: ex-Bundesliga player apparently died in his sleep
The circumstances surrounding his death are particularly tragic. As the portal digisport.ro writes, Jula should not have felt well in the morning. He is said to have called an emergency doctor who is said to have administered him medication. Jula is said to have gone to bed afterwards and died half an hour later of a heart attack. The Gladbach icon Hans-Jörg Criens also died much too early after a heart attack.
Perhaps his death could have been prevented had he been immediately rushed to hospital and given immediate treatment. Jula is to be transferred to his Romanian homeland Cluj and buried in the next few days. A large part of his family lives in the city.
