Saalfelden (AP) - VfB Stuttgart started their one-week training camp in Austria with a defeat against Liverpool FC.
The Bundesliga team lost 0: 3 (0: 2) to the English champions trained by successful German coach Jürgen Klopp in a test match in Saalfelden. The former Hoffenheim Roberto Firmino (15th minute), the former Leipzig Naby Keita (40th) and Rhian Brewster (68th) met for the Champions League winner of 2019, who in the pouring rain almost had the best line-up at least in the first half was started.
At VfB, Erik Thommy had to be replaced with an arm injury and Roberto Massimo with an ankle injury in the first half. Exact diagnoses were still pending for both players in the evening. Clinton Mola hadn't even started the trip to Tyrol because of hip problems.
Until next Saturday, the Swabians are preparing for the new season there. They have moved into their quarters in Kitzbühel, on August 26th against Hamburger SV and on August 29th against Arminia Bielefeld there are further tests for them in Kufstein.
