The highlight of the year in European football takes place tonight (Sunday) when Paris Saint-Germain meet Bayern Munich in the Champions League final at the Stadium of Light in Lisbon. For the Bavarians this is the number 11 appearance in the senior factory final (five wins and five losses) and they are looking for a first win since 2013. On the other hand, for the French this is their first ever appearance in the class and they want to be the only Marseille in 1993 to win the coveted title.
Both teams come into the game in great shape, with each team winning 0: 3 from a rival country in the semi-finals (PSG, RB Leipzig and Bayern against Lyon). The coaches continued with the same lineups that worked for them in the semi-finals, with Kingsley Koeman being favored over Ivan Frisic and rising alongside Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry at the helm of the German champions. PSG coach Thomas Tuchel brought back Kaylor Navas who had recovered from an injury, but preferred to keep Marco Verratti on the bench. Neymar, Killian Mbabane and Angel Di Maria are back together in attack.
