PSG-Bayern: Unai Emery's message of support

2020-08-23T13:31:09.893Z

A few hours before the final against the Bavarians, the former Parisian coach posted a message of encouragement on his social networks

Passionate and whimsical, he left PSG one evening in May 2018 on his only title of champion of France, chanting loudly “Go Paris, go Paris!” on the official platform in front of a dumbfounded audience. A few hours before the final of the Champions League between Paris and Bayern Munich, Unai Emery has once again shown his attachment to the capital club. The Basque coach communicated, this Sunday morning, a short message on his social networks in which he congratulates the Parisian club for its European course and wishes it the best for the future.

“Bravo Paris for this magnificent course after so many years of insistence and consistency, but continue to dream bigger. Good match and go PSG! Emery says. Before congratulating UEFA on the organization of the final tournament in Lisbon during the Covid-19 period.

Bravo Paris for this magnificent course after so many years of insistence and consistency, but keep dreaming bigger. Have a good game and Go @PSG_inside!
And also congratulations @UEFA for this great organization in such a tough time. https://t.co/awhW7oNwVM

Often criticized for his choices or his strong Iberian accent, Emery spent two seasons in the capital. During this period, the hot Basque gleaned 7 trophies and a title of best coach in 2018. But his name will forever be marked with a hot iron by the comeback in Barcelona in March 2017. After a demonstration against the Catalans at the Parc des Princes ( 4-0), PSG collapsed (6-1) in the return match, especially against the genius of Neymar.

An indelible stain which undoubtedly precipitated the departure of Emery from Paris. The future coach of Villarreal will also never have been able to lead his troops beyond the knockout stages of the Champions League. Obviously not resentful, he will be behind PSG in his quest for his first star this Sunday evening.
