Zehavi was acquired by R&F from Maccabi Tel Aviv in the summer of 2016 for 7.2 million euros and immediately repaid banknotes. In his first half of the season in China he scored 11 goals in 15 league games and the following season, his first full season in the domestic league, found the net 27 times. In the 2019 season Zahavi reached his peak with 29 conquests, an all-time record for goals in one season in the Chinese league.
The veteran striker finished as the king of league goals in 2017 and 2019 and although he failed to march his team to a title fight, he was selected in these two seasons for the team in the Chinese league this season. In total, Zahavi scored 91 goals in 106 appearances in the Chinese league, while in all competitions his number in R&F stands at 103 goals in 117 appearances. Of course he leaves the club as his top scorer at all times.
