Stars like the footballer Lukas Podolski sat at his appearances at the ring, on the screen millions followed his fights. In an interview with SPIEGEL, he is now expressing himself for the first time about his trial.
SPIEGEL:
Mr. Sturm, you were arrested on April 5, 2019 at a fitness fair in Cologne for allegedly evading taxes worth millions.
How do you remember the day?
Sturm:

Then suddenly people stood in front of me at the fair and said they had to talk to me, they had an arrest warrant for me.
At first I thought it was a joke.
Hidden camera or something.
Then I realized that the other people around me had all turned quite pale.
I knew then that it was serious.
