At the age of 17 Eduardo Camavinga became the youngest to be called up to the national team since World War II, and if you ask him, "this is just the beginning" | World football

The character ("smart and mature, always ready for the task") • The talent ("produces a dedication that no one else can") • and the comparison to Ambape ("he has no weaknesses") Ask him out well if he is no longer absorbed in the connection.

"Joy, pride, honor."

This is how Eduardo Camavinga described the feelings that accompanied his summons to the French national team.

A 17-year-old boy - the youngest to receive a summons since World War II - arrives at the home of the world champion at the Clearfontein, takes the place of Paul Pogba who was left out because of Corona, shares a table with Antoine Griezmann, Killian Ambape, Rafael Varane and Hugo Loris, and at no point mentions The word click.

He is calm, smiling, calm, and explains: "I am fulfilling my childhood dream, and I am still a child."

This approach of Camavinga is one of the reasons that France are sure to be the biggest diamond in their football enterprise.

The list of French talent is almost endless, but like Ran's midfielder there is no one else.

Didier Deschamps, and especially his assistant Guy Stefan, have been following Cambinga's development since he made his debut about a year and a half ago, and the boy was on their list long before Pogba's corona tests returned positive.

"I did not summon him for the segment," Deschamps clarified this week, "it is true that the circumstances caused it to happen earlier than expected, but I know exactly what his potential is."

This potential could be clearly seen in the 113 minutes that Camavinga played this season in the French league.

In the first round against Lille he came in as a substitute and cooked the equalizer, and in 1: 2 over Saint-Etienne in the second round he already started in the lineup and scored.

Kamabinga started the move at the halfway line, and after an exchange of dedication and a run to the end he finished with a spectacular slalom and a sharp kick to the corner.

"Tackling is also a beautiful thing"

To a large extent this gate is the essence of the 17-year-old relationship.

An exceptionally versatile player, one who is capable of doing everything - tackles and steals, alongside cooking, conquests and dedication - and everything at the highest level.

"I like to give to my friends," he said at the beginning of the year, "but good tackling is also a beautiful thing. This year I learned to play as number 6, but I also like to play number 8 and like to have areas."

Young players who love football are not lacking in France in general, but those who know how to deal with pressure are already a rare commodity.

Camavinga, who was two years old when he moved to France from Angola, had already deleted the word "pressure" from the lexicon.

After his house burned down as a child, he heard from his father that the future of the family depended on his feet.

"I was too young to take it seriously, so I laughed," he told QUEST FRANCE.

Today, after leading Ran to the Champions League and being called up to the World Cup squad, Camavinga is already taking things seriously.

He is proud to represent France, but really not stressed about it, as he declared on his first day as a national team player: "I prepared myself for this day and I am glad that thanks to the hard work he arrived early."

The fact that it does not look like his first day does not surprise anyone.

Julian Stefan, his coach Bran, claims that this is exactly what is amazing about him: "He is so smart, talented and mature, that he always seems ready for the task. Nothing bothers him."

And really, the impression in the national team camp is tremendous.

The experienced players are impressed by the character, and the coaching staff does not spare praise.

"He has no weaknesses," Stefan stated, "he is so technical that he is capable of producing devotion that no one else can."

If Cambaniga produced this dedication this week against Sweden or Croatia, he will become the youngest player to play for France in the last 100 years, and the talk around him will escalate.

He is already being compared to Ambape and is being watched by greats, and although Real Madrid and other greats are already following him, Cambinga is in no hurry to go anywhere.

"This is just the beginning," he said ahead of the opening of the team and ahead of another season Bran.

The sequel will come, it's clear to him.

But right now - as always - there is no pressure.
