2020-09-04T13:18:11.595Z

The meeting without a stake between the two Ligue 2 clubs will not take place this afternoon due to a case of coronavirus within the ca staff

FC Chambly will not play its friendly match against Guingamp (L 2), scheduled this afternoon (3 p.m.) in Vire (Calvados).

In the middle of the day, the Picard club, author of a good draw in Niort (1-1) last Saturday, indeed announced on its social networks the cancellation of this meeting without issue, specifying that a member of the management of the professional group had tested positive for Covid-19.

The club decided not to release the name of the person affected.

According to our information, it is not Bruno Luzi, the coach.

It is a phone call addressed to the osteopath of the club who informed the news to the Camblys delegation while it was on the way to Vire.

The team's bus, which was in the direction of Deauville at the time, then turned around.

No collective session while waiting for the results

The Covid case will be isolated and on sick leave at home until a PCR test is negative.

The entire Chambly group will undergo a new test this Saturday.

“We are all tested tomorrow morning, confirms Bruno Luzi.

There will be no collective session while awaiting the results.

In the meantime, and as a precaution, each member of the workforce will have to respect a period of isolation to avoid a possible spread of the virus.

"We are waiting for the results, hoped for on Monday, to organize the work week," says one within the club.

The training program for the coming week is therefore for the moment put on hold, while on the way back from Normandy, the trend is not worrying according to Bruno Luzi, reached by SMS.

"It's okay, everyone stays in their place, but obviously we think about it," said the coach.

The next championship match in Chambly is scheduled for Saturday September 12 (7 p.m.) against Grenoble, at the Pierre-Brisson stadium in Beauvais.
