The 36-year-old Bosnian finished a contract at Hertha Berlin and received quite a few offers, some of them quite high from the Turkish league.
Schalke was interested, but even though she could not compete with the other interested parties financially, Ivishevich chose her.

Ibishevich, who has scored 127 Bundesliga goals throughout his career, earned Herta Berlin a salary of around 3 million euros gross, but at Schalke he will receive 100,000 euros a season.
The amount will be donated to charity and he will actually earn only the various bonuses, on goals and points.
