Slobodan Drapich returns to Betar Jerusalem (Betar Jerusalem's official website)
The player of the quarrel with Amek Benda clarifies after signing with Maccabi Netanya: I was given "false" and "incorrect" information about Betar Jerusalem. What caused him to do so were accusations by Maccabi Netanya officials that "Betar hates blacks" and warnings that he would receive inappropriate racist treatment.
Today (Friday) Benda's family issued a statement in which it apologized to Betar.
"We know that Betar Jerusalem is a huge, respected and good club in the State of Israel.
We know that the club, like all of Israel, accepts all people of all shades.
We apologize to Betar Jerusalem and to owner Moshe Celebrate for some nonsense that one of the uncles in the family said.
"Unfortunately, someone in Zambia gave us false and misleading information and we did not examine it in depth.
We apologize for that and know we were wrong.
We wish Beitar Jerusalem great success and perhaps look forward to meeting them soon in a fun and enjoyable sports setting with mutual respect. "

As you may recall, Maccabi Netanya denied the allegations and claimed that the motive that made Benda prefer it over Betar "is not racism, it is money."
