Only the last details are missing.
As revealed by Marca this Friday, Sergio Rico will soon be permanently transferred to PSG.
Leonardo, Parisian sports director, Monchi, his Sevilla FC counterpart, and representatives of the 27-year-old Spanish goalkeeper finalize the final agreement.
The transfer will be concluded around a transaction at 6 million euros.
Once the transfer is formalized, PSG will have resolved one of its main issues of the summer: finding a number 2 in Keylor Navas.
Sergio Rico, already in Paris this season, was only loaned.
But, despite a contract still in progress in Seville until June 2021, his future in his training club was blocked.
Adopted by the entire Parisian wardrobe this season, Rico had expressed his desire to continue the adventure in red and blue.
An effective liner
Born on September 1, 1993, Rico celebrated his 27th birthday on Tuesday with his teammates Mauro Icardi and Keylor Navas.
Still at rest until his new contractual situation is formalized, the Spaniard will find Paris in the coming days.
In the meantime, he has been tested for Covid-19, having been a contact case of Icardi and Navas, both positive, on the Ibiza side.
The result of this test is unknown to us.
This season, Sergio Rico has played the role of an effective understudy in Navas, going as far as to replace him in the Champions League semi-final against RB Leipzig (3-0).
In total, the Spanish international (1 selection) played 10 games with Paris, including nine as the holder.
