Kwai Leonard is an exceptional player, and tonight (Monday through Tuesday) he proved it once again.
Not because he led his team the Los Angeles Clippers to a 107: 113 win over the Denver Nuggets and a 2-1 series with transcendence in the deciding moments and not because he scored 23, picked up 14 rebounds and handed out 6 assists.
During the fourth quarter, as the advantage passed from one to the other, Jamal Marie penetrated the basket and flew high high on the way to an impressive dunk.
At least he thought so.
But in front of him stood Leonard, who sent his hand and with only one finger made one of the most amazing blocks seen in the league.
"The team needed help, so I came to block Jamal," Leonard admitted.
"I just reached out trying to block the ball."
"I did not know he blocked it with one finger," Clippers coach Doc Rivers said at the conclusion.
"It was an impressive piece of workmanship."
"He has a long piece of finger," Paul George added.
"She kept growing while moving or something," he added, smiling.
"It's Kwai, he's a great game player who winks at a different material."
"He did a wonderful job," Kwai asked his friend.
"He came up to the game with a lot of energy and swept him off both sides of the field. We just followed him."

On the other hand, Denver did their best to stay in the game, and it did not do badly until the closing minutes.
In the deciding minutes, after another easy basket by the Clippers, the scoreboard showed 103: 109 in favor of the team from City of Angels - its biggest advantage throughout the match.
Nikola Jukic, the Nuggets' only bright spot in the encounter, was close to leading his team to victory but he too eventually struggled against the great Kwai.
Jukic, who has become the third player in league history with at least 25 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists in 3 quarters since play-by-play came on in 1996/97 (Steve Nash and LeBron James did it before him), He admitted: "The Clippers are very talented. They may be favorites on paper, maybe their star battery is more shiny, maybe they have a wider roster, and maybe that should be credited to their coach. Anyway, it doesn't matter, because of how we closed the game."

In the second game tonight, Boston defeated Toronto and regained the lead in the series (2: 3).
Unlike the previous two games, this time the Celtics once again displayed uncompromising defense and after holding the champion on just 11 points in the first quarter, did not look back and get back to business.
In the Raptors' first 18 passes, they scored just five points on 2 of 15 from the field, including outrageous fouls, aerobatics and what not.
"I know it sounds crazy, but I think we played great in the offensive part in the first few minutes," coach Nick Ners said.
"The attack was great, just our shots didn't come in."
"The work is not over yet," said Jaylen Brown who excelled with 27 points on a good percentage.
"We have another critical and important game ahead of us and we must complete the task before we can move forward."
